The Year 2100 Issue with Real Time Clock IC's
The devices listed below include a "built-in leap year counter" (00,04,08,---88,92,96). The year 2100 will be incorrectly counted as a leap year. Therefore, the automatic correction function of "Leap year" is valid only until the year 2099.
Generally, new designs are unaffected or can easily be software programmed to accommodate to year 2100 or higher if deemed necessary.
